Performance Issues With the Four Original Logi Accounting Reports - Support Advisory

Issue

The original four accounting reports listed below were built on a version of the Logi platform that emphasized visuals such as dashboards. With the large portfolios many clients have amassed over time, some are now consistently having issues with the amount of data and timeliness these reports can provide.

  • Portfolio Trial Balance

  • Schedule: Trial Balance for a Single Month

  • Schedule: Account Activity Trend

  • Schedule: Account Balance Trend

When could the issue manifest?

The most common occurrences of performance issues are experienced during the time-period most clients are running portfolio level reports, such as the last couple/first couple of days of each fiscal month.

How does the issue manifest?

The original versions of these reports may present the following issues:

  • Results returning a blank screen and/or exported file.

  • No parameters loading.

  • Report timing out before completion.

Recommended Solution

We recreated the four accounting reports using the newer Logi Reports platform which is designed for large table-based reporting. The four ‘v2’ reports as well as the Design Studio are based on the Logi Reports platform.

The four ‘v2’ reports provide the same output as the data grid section of the original reports. Clients can export and create preferred pivot tables.

With the 24R2 release, the four ‘v2’ reports now include a parameter tab. The reports are non-editable and under SOC audit.
