Accounting Improvements
Classification Under IFRS 16 Without Cost Basis
Corrected an issue affecting the initial classification of deals imported into IFRS 16 ledgers in the following scenario:
Only deals with schedules set to Payment Based On: Cost Basis Not Available were impacted.
Deals with specific cost and payment value combinations that would otherwise qualify as low or small value (if not using Cost Basis Not Available) now classify correctly as "Finance," ensuring consistent, accurate accounting entries.
Classification using Unit Cost under IFRS 16 was inaccurate only for bulk imports when an Accounting Classification Override was not used.
Note: The manual workaround of clicking the Refresh Classification button in the Accounting Classification workspace after the deal was imported or alternatively entering deals through the UI are no longer necessary.
Modifications and Short-Term Lease Treatment
When performing a modification, the Short-Term test for accounting classification now accurately arrives at the total duration of the modification chain by calculating the elapsed duration of the original deal plus the duration for any modifications to arrive at a result for the test.
If the total duration of the original deal, including any RCHP plus the modification term, including any RCHP, is 12 months or less, the Short-Term test result will display "Yes".
If the combined duration is over 12 months, the Short-Term test result will display "No".
Note: Modifications will only be classified as short-term if the original deal was treated as such.
Reporting Improvements
Reporting Processing Messages
For large reports that take an extended amount of time to generate, the system now correctly displays a streamlined pop-up message showing processing status and stages, when applicable. These messages have been refined to provide clearer, more concise information.
The included types are XLSX, CSV, PSV, TSV, etc. However, reports generated as PDFs, Design Studio Reports, and Business Intelligence (BI) Reports are not included. BI Reports can be identified because they have Submit button instead of an Export button.

**Status associated with LvB/RFP
Origination and PreOrigination values are included in preparation of additional enhancements scheduled for 2025. Currently, these selections will produce blank reports.
Best practice when using date range parameters is to use the current month AsAt date. Note that some report columns reflect data changes on effective dates in coordination with the AsAt date while others reflect current values only regardless of the effective date/AsAt date combination.
UI and Import Improvements
Enhanced Font Styles, Colors, and Sizes
A change to the base font styles, colors, and sizes is part of this release; this begins the steps needed to align the LeaseAccelerator user interface with the insightsoftware design framework.
Balance Adjustments
Ideas Exchange Submission
This enhancement adds the Comments from the Balance Adjustment import directly to the Deal History Comments of the adjusted deal. If multiple comments are provided in the import file, they will all appear in this field.
Import Performance
This release utilizes the 24R3 accounting performance improvements to enhance processing times for the Portfolio Intake Workbook (PIW) and Asset Management Update (AMU) imports, focusing on faster import speeds and optimized processing.
Notification Attachments
Resolved an issue where duplicate attachments were included in notification emails.
Contact Change Management
Corrected a potential audit concern where new companies added via bulk import did not appear in the Contact Change Management report.
Guardrails
Modification Errors
The error handling has been improved when the system encounters a problem while creating a deal modification through the UI or bulk import so that broken deal modifications are not created, causing further confusion.
Defunct Deal Assets
The Asset Management Update (AMU) will not allow asset changes if the deal is in Defunct status.
Duplicate Schedule Numbers
Corrected an issue where the system would allow duplicate schedule numbers when renumbering a deal in certain scenarios. The system also recognizes leading and trailing spaces when looking for duplicate numbers.
Recurring Payment Adjustments
The guardrail that prevented a recurring payment adjustment to deals on the same date as a fixed-term renewal event, a partial buyout event, or a partial return event has been removedonly when the EOT event was not a remeasuring event.
The guardrail will remain in place if the event qualifies as a remeasuring event.
Configuration Settings
Removed the Export button from the Lessee Rates tile due to errors in this report. The proper way to obtain Lessee Rates is to navigate to the Reporting workspace and run the Lessee Default Rates report.
Step Payments Field
Ideas Exchange Submission
This is a minor improvement suggested in our Ideas Exchange: Increase the size of the Step Payments payment amount field within the Payment Calculator to make it easier to read the value provided or entered.
Evergreen Payments Based on Percentage
An issue was resolved in calculating remaining evergreen payments for multi-asset deals when:
A partial termination or buyout of some assets occurred, and
An automatic evergreen renewal was set to calculate renewal payments based on the percentage of the remaining equipment cost.
Indefinite Evergreen Renewal at EOT with Percent of Amount Financed
Example:
Deal Setup: Deal A initially contains 10 assets, each priced at $1,000, totaling a deal value of $10,000.
End of Term (EOT) Options: Configured for Automatic Evergreen Renewal with an indefinite month-to-month term; the remaining payment calculation is based on 1% of the financed amount.
If a partial buyout is executed on 5 assets before entering the evergreen phase, the adjusted deal value will be $5,000.
When the deal automatically transitions to evergreen—processed overnight—the remaining assets will reflect a total payment of $50. This amount will be visible in the Deal Summary EOT section, as well as in the payment schedule and ledger exports.
Report Retirements
The original versions of the following reports have now been retired:
Portfolio: Trial Balance Report
Schedule: Trial Balance By Account for a Single Month only
Schedule: Account Activity Trend Report
Schedule: Account Balance Trend Report
Any scheduled versions of these reports should be deleted by the original scheduler.
As a reminder, each of the above reports is available under the 'v2' naming convention. The v2 reports are the same as the data grid portion of the above reports. For users looking for a pivot/crosstab version of the data grid, we recommend using the Design Studio Account Balance or Account Activity templates. Please refer to the Design Studio User Guide for details.
