Lessee Rates Bulk Import - Product Advisory
July 2020
Introduction
LeaseAccelerator now offers the ability for customers to import Lessee Rates through Bulk Import in the UI with the July 20R2.2 Release. Lessee Rates include IBR, Equity Rate, and Debt Rate. The Lessee Rates Import can be done with the Lessee Rates tab from the CIW or the new standalone Lessee Rates Bulk Import template. The tab and standalone file have the same fields and requirements. The tab is remaining in the CIW for implementation purposes.
The Lessee Rate Import does not change existing, deal level IBR and does not cause a sweep.
If further guidance is required for Lessee Rates, please see the Customer Implementation Guide or visit the Success Center. You may also find information in Ask Alex within the application.
The bulk import replaces a request to Support and they will no longer perform the import with this deployment.

Existing Validations for Lessee Rates Import
-
The Lessee Rates Import will overwrite values for an existing rate for the same Lessee, Country, and Term on the same date.
Users will receive a Warning when this occurs:
-
Duplicate and near duplicated rows in the same file will be treated as follows:
If all fields are the same for any two or more rows, then the system will consider the rows as one record and import with a Warning message appearing for each duplicated row.
-
If all fields are the same for any two or more rows except for the Rate value, then the import validation will show an Error message appearing for each duplicated row and will not allow import.
Lessee is required. Resulting Error if left blank:
Rates are typically only configured for parent lessees and not their children since children automatically inherit the settings of their parent unless the desired outcome is for a child lessee to have its own rate(s).
-
Lessee must match an existing Lessee in the system. Resulting Error if Lessee does not exist:
Geo is required. ALL is not a valid entry for Geo. Resulting Error if left blank:
Geo must match an existing Geo in the system. Resulting Error if Geo does not exist:
Term (Months) is required. Resulting Error if left blank:
Term (Months) must already be configured in the environment. Resulting Error if Term does not exist:
Rate Type is required. Rate Type can only be IBR, DEBT, or EQUITY. Resulting Error if user uses a rate that does not exist:
Rate is required. Rate must be a valid number and cannot be a negative number. Resulting Errors if number is too large or negative:
-
IBRs of zero (0) are allowed with the import. Debt and Equity cannot be zero (0).
An IBR of zero can be manually entered at the deal level in the UI in Deal Summary or Accounting Classification as well.
Please note the current behavior, where zero is not allowed when entering an IBR via the UI in Settings, Lessee Rates tile.
Effective Date is required. Resulting Error if date left blank:
-
Effective Date must be a valid date (MM/DD/YYYY). Resulting Error if date format is incorrect:
Operational Notes: Effective Date of the import is at the beginning of the day. End-Cap will only be applied to IBR once a new rate with a later date is added for the same Lessee, Country, and Term.
